About Nōvo

Nōvo Collective is your favorite art-world co-conspirator, a curatorial and production platform that helps bold ideas take shape in public space.

We work with artists, curators, brands, and collectors to make things happen: exhibitions, residencies, public art, land art, and all kinds of cultural experiments that don’t fit inside four walls.

We smuggle audacious ideas into streets, deserts, rooftops — wherever life is loud and white walls are absent. From rogue billboards in Mexico City to land sculptures in Socotra, we produce what can’t be contained.

Our Groundwork

Public Art & Commissions

Public Art & Commissions

We produce and facilitate artist-led interventions and commissions in public space, connecting artists with cities, institutions, and cultural sites to create works that transform place.

Land Art & Residencies

Land Art & Residencies

We organize expeditions and residencies where artists can slow down and work directly with the landscape to create lasting dialogues.

Live Formats & Experiments

Live Formats & Experiments

Our live exhibition format turns studios into public stages. Spaces where things are still being figured out, where the lines between making and seeing aren’t clear.

Curated Journeys

Curated Journeys

For collectors and cultural travelers, we build trips that get you closer to the work and the places it comes from. Less tour bus, more back door—real conversations, real context.

Our Projects in Action

uncommissioned: ed. 1 / playground of the invisible

uncommissioned: ed. 1 / playground of the invisible

A global exhibition of unauthorized artistic interventions, reclaiming public space through ephemeral art. More at uncommissioned.art.

Work in Progress: ed. 1 / Mexico City

Work in Progress: ed. 1 / Mexico City

A live format that’s still figuring itself out. Part studio, part public stage,  where making, talking, and seeing all happen at once. More at workinprogress.mx.

Why We Work Beyond the White Cube

We believe art should be where life is.

We think art belongs where life already happens. Out in the open. On the way to work. In the middle of nowhere. Places where you don’t plan to see it but it still finds you.

We’re not chasing perfect spaces or polished frames. We like the rough edges—the way weather hits a piece, the way people stop, stare, or even walk past without noticing. That’s what makes it real.

For us, it’s simple: if it feels alive in the world, we’re doing it right.

Help turning bold ideas into real projects. Production, permits, and people who get it. Residencies and editorial support when it fits.

For Institutions & Brands

For Institutions & Brands

Artist commissions that don’t feel forced. Public interventions and cultural strategy. Pop-ups, special projects, and sharp execution

For Collectors & Art Lovers

For Collectors & Art Lovers

Private trips into the art world’s good parts. Studio visits, acquisitions, and real connections. Early access to what’s coming next—before it’s everywhere

Notes From the Field / Our Community

Updates, stories, scraps from the road. Sometimes it’s an artist in the middle of a residency, sometimes it’s just a quick photo from a back alley where something’s starting to happen.

Frequently asked questions

What does Nōvo actually do?

We produce public art, residencies, live formats, cultural journeys, and artist commissions and connect the right artists to the right partners. We’re part curatorial studio, part production crew, part connector.

Can I pitch a project or apply?

Yes, always open to fresh ideas. Check our site or social for open calls, or email us directly with your concept. We’re interested in projects that push boundaries.

Is everything public art?

Mostly, yes. But we’re also involved in residencies, land-based work, live formats (like the WIP series), and art journeys with In‑Situ. Think of public art as our anchor, the rest flow from it.

Where do you operate?

We’re based in Los Angeles, but we work globally. Our roots and projects sit across Mexico City, Beijing, the Caribbean... Each by-design space shapes the work.

Can collectors get involved?

Absolutely. We offer private trips, in-studio previews, early access to projects, so artists and collectors can connect in real contexts, not at a fair booth.
